Sam Morril, one of the fastest rising comics in New York City, is also one of the best joke writers in the scene today. How do you know that's true? Because he is writing this bio, and he wouldn't lie about that to get extra work.  Sam won March Madness 2010 at Comix, and was featured in a 4-page spread in the Daily News as "one of the four funniest in New York?" He then won the Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta, beating out over 600 (dreams were shattered!) applicants.
In 2011, Sam was named a “Comic to Watch” by Comedy Central. His comedy can be heard on Sirius XM radio, and you can see him regularly at all the best clubs in New York City.
Recently, he’s been on “Gotham Comedy Live” on AXS TV, and the “The Artie Lange Show.” Sam made a big impression at Montreal’s “Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival, and was written up a stand out among the “New Faces.”
Sam has been seen talking sports (mostly about his beloved Knicks) on MSG’s “The Bracket,” and he recently made his Late Night Debut on “Conan” on TBS.
You can see Sam regularly on “Red Eye” on Fox News, and he recently taped a stand-up set for Comedy Central on the second season of Adam Devine’s House Party.

Time Out New York says: "Morril's jokes arise from his humiliations - sure, a lot of comedy does, but he's especially adept at it".  Come see Sam before you catch swine flu or something. It’s out there!

SPECIAL EVENT - TOM GREEN & GUESTS

Wednesday February 4th, 2015 - 7:00pm

Tickets - $25.00 in advance, $30.00 day of show

The Comedy Works - 500 Northern Blvd - Albany NY

Tom Green sparked a TV revolution with his hit MTV comedy series "The Tom Green Show." One of MTV’s top-rated programs, "The Tom Green Show" paved the way for shows like "Jackass," "Punk’d" and "Fear Factor. With its guerrilla video tactics and outrageous stunts, it was unlike anything that had been seen before.

"The Tom Green Show" began on public access TV and was picked up by MTV. In a sense, it was the original independent, viral-video hit, years before YouTube even existed. The raw home-video look was what made the show relatable to young audiences across the globe, and its hilarious clips are still hugely popular online.

After his show was acquired and broadcast by MTV, Tom went on to produce, direct and star in several films. He appeared in such blockbusters as "Road Trip" and "Charlie’s

Angels," as well as the cult classics "Freddy Got Fingered," "Stealing Harvard," and "Bob the Butler."

He has appeared multiple times on "The Late Show with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show," "Oprah," "The Jimmy Kimmel Show," "The View," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Live with Regis & Kelly," and "The Wendy Williams Show." In fact, he is one of the few comedians in history given the chance to guest-host David Letterman’s program. He has also hosted 'Saturday Night Live," and has appeared on numerous magazine covers including the coveted cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

His autobiography "Hollywood Causes Cancer" is a critically-acclaimed book detailing his battle with Testicular Cancer which he beat successfully at the peak of his MTV show's meteoric rise. "The Cancer Special," a full-length television special for MTV, documented Tom's multiple surgeries and was called one of the Top Ten TV shows of the year by Time magazine.

Tom’s independent online talk show "Tom Green’s House Tonight" was the first LIVE streaming talk show to become a massive success on the Internet. Audiences worldwide have enjoyed this ground-breaking series broadcast in real time from Tom's home-made living-room studio living room. It is the highest-rated online talk show in history and has attracted A-list celebrities and comedians to appear as Tom's guests.

Tom is currently traveling the world on a sold-out stand-up comedy tour, and has just completed his first 90-minute stand-up comedy special for Showtime to be broadcast and released on video this year. He is also planning to launch a 24-hour live Internet comedy channel which will be the first of its kind. Given Tom Green’s background of making independent TV accessible to large mainstream audiences, it is sure to be a massive success. Stay tuned.

9 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUTMIKE DOUGHTY'S

STELLAR MOTEL

1. STELLAR MOTEL is a collaboration with the hip-hop producer Good Goose, and sounds markedly different from any album before. After years of establishing himself as an acousticky singer/songwriter, this is a pretty sharp turn.

2. The entire process was video'd and put online as the album was being made -- not just the recording, but the very writing of the songs.

3. There are eight guest rappers on the album MC Frontalot, Miss Eaves, Big Dipper, the Brooklyn trio of MCs Hand Job Academy, Jay Boogs, and the Japanese rapper Kim, from the band Uhnellys. In particular, Doughty was deeply inspired by the Brooklyn queer hip-hop underground.

4. Another guest on the album is the cellist Andrew "ScrapLivingston, Doughty's foil on his much-beloved Question Jar shows, adored by fans for his abstract musings. Example: "You can turn a spider into food, but you can't turn food into a spider."

5. Doughty does a song, "Oh My God Yeah Fuck It,with the saxophone-and-drums instrumental trio Moon Hooch, who specialize in a frenetic dance/house/dubstep hybrid they call "cave music." He met them when they were playing on a subway platform in Union Square.

6. STELLAR MOTEL was crowd-funded through PledgeMusic. Doughty lives on the graces of a small, ridiculously dedicated core of fanatics.

7. Doughty has written extensively about how vital it is, when crowd-funding, to give pledgers odd and experience-based things, like private shows in his rehearsal studio, recordings of songs on microcassette (microcassette recorder included), framed Soul Coughing lyrics ripped out of journals from 1991. The big hit with pledgers was lyrics to any song the pledger requested, typed on a circa-1981 IBM Selectric typewriter by Doughty, and signed.

8. Good Goose also produced the last album, Circles Super Bon Bon Sleepless...,which was a reworking of Soul Coughing songs. After years of avoidance, Doughty has reclaimed the songs he wrote in the 1990s.

9. Doughty says, "I'm lucky, in that I love the touring life, and, particularly in these days, I'm an obsessive social-media maker and watcher. I make sure I love every piece of music I write and record, and I look for inspired and wonderful people to work with. It's a stressful job, but I've been doing it for 20 years -- I can't imagine wanting to stop."

Jon has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, has been featured in Maxim Magazine, and was the host of the widely popular podcast, “In the Tank”. A prolific monologist with universal appeal, Jon focuses on the idiosyncrasies of city living. Shortly after moving to NYC from his native Boston, he was chosen as one of Comedy Central’s Fresh Faces of Comedy and named one of Back Stage Magazine’s 10 Standout Stand-ups.

His appearance on Last Comic Standing 4 – where he was the New York City Capital One Audience Favorite – earned him wide recognition and a new legion of fans. His other TV appearances include Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, VH1, Celebrity Apprentice, and 3 Men and a Chick Flick on the WE Network where he served as a host. Interestingly, the credit people seem most impressed by was that he was handpicked to open for Jerry Seinfeld in 2009 at Gotham Comedy Club

Jon has performed at multiple festivals including the 2007 HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen and the 2010 Great American Comedy Festival at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Norfolk, Nebraska. In addition, he was a critical favorite at the prestigious Montreal “Just for Laughs” Festival where he appeared in both the “New Faces” showcase and the Club Series show “Dating It.” Following his impressive performances, Jon was singled out by the Hollywood Reporter and the Montreal Gazette as a “stand out performer”. Most recently, he was invited to perform at this year’s TBS “Just For Laughs” Comedy Festival in Chicago.

Jon also tours the country performing in theaters and colleges, corporate events and clubs. A staple in the NYC scene, he is a favorite at Gotham Comedy Club, the Comedy Cellar, and the World Famous Comic Strip Live.

Exactly one year to the day that Dan quit college for a career in show business, he was building cars on an assembly line! After welding the EXACT same spot on 499,207 cars, he lost his mind, making him a perfect candidate for the world of stand-up comedy.

Dan Wilson is one of those breezy, gentle types that will hit you like a building collapsing. A naturally funny man, Wilson can rip through an inspired set that somehow connects Rudy Vallee-style rapping, midget-wrestling, plane flight annoyances, Barney Fife, and a visit to the dentist. A tremendous amount of his material is potently funny, a sucker punch that you don't expect from an innocent smile and an average Joe, but Wilson is one of the great "class clowns" in the business. This is good-time, clean, and inoffensive comedy. With a steady flow of laughs, Wilson uncorks some hysterical tomfoolery. He is the type of stand-up that reminds you of those summer nights when you were a kid and your best friend got you giddy and made you laugh for so long that it hurt. His quirky style mixes keen observations with outrageous physical humor, all delivered in a genial "I'm-only-trying-to-fix-the-world-before-it's-too-late" deadpan. Dan Wilson is a mischievous and likeable bloke that is funny whether he's pausing to look at you or working with sound effects. This light-hearted lunatic is off and running from the second he hits the stage as he is just a fun guy to be around. Dan Wilson would get solid marks in everything from his material to his timing to his stage persona.

Long a favorite on the college and club circuits, Dan has had a string of television appearances on MTV, A&E, HBO, ESPN and Lifetime. His rubbery face and keen ear for voices earned him status as a recurring sketch performer on HBO's "Hardcore TV." He's one of those acts that would crack up a firehouse as easily as an Elk's lodge, a bachelor party, a PTA bake sale, a corporate meeting and a little league fundraiser. Dan has appeared at showrooms in Las Vegas, Atlantic City & Reno, as well as the North Fork Theater at Westbury. He continues to headline Comedy Clubs nationwide as well as entertaining many families aboard Royal Caribbean Cruises.

Previously, Tommy was also seen cracking jokes and doing what he does best, making people laugh, in THE FOX NFL SHOW. Tommy co-hosted this unique show with football greats Michael Irvin and Tony Siragusa. Tommy starred in Spike Lee's Bamboozled where he received acclaim and praise for his turn as Womack/Sleep ?N Eats, a character which showcased his comedic and dramatic acting abilities. Tommy also starred in Morgan Creek Productions' Juwanna Mann.

Tommy was also a star in the provocative urban comedy, Booty Call (Columbia Pictures), and played opposite Jada Pinkett Smith in the romantic comedy, Woo (New Line). He also made an impressive film debut opposite Halle Berry in Strictly Business and reunited with fellow In Living Color alumni, Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura II: When Nature Calls.

Davidson started out performing stand-up in local talent showcases where he was spotted by concert promoters who booked him as the opening act for such major music stars as Patti LaBelle, Kenny G, and Luther Vandross.

The next step was Hollywood. He performed at many small clubs, including the Comedy Act Theatre, where among others, he met Robert Townsend and Keenen Ivory Wayans, who would later prove instrumental in Davidson's career.

Davidson's first national television appearance was a starring role in Townsend's Partners in Crime. Tommy was then offered him the opportunity to audition for a primetime variety show called In Living Color, which became a cult favorite and a huge ratings success. Davidson's hilarious impressions of Sammy Davis Jr., Michael Jackson, and others were some of the most talked-about bits on the show.

In Living Color led to three Showtime specials for Tommy: On Strength of New York, Illin' in Philly, and Takin' it to DC.

Is that a sparkle in his eye or is he just confused? With his innocence and friendly demeanor mitch quickly engages the audience and then catches them off guard with his mixture of mischievous dialog and off color comments. While laughing at observations only mitch can get away with we are left wondering if he truly understands what he just said. We never really know.

Mitch has been showcasing his talent to rave reviews for the past 15 years. Since then both appreciative audiences and comedy executives have made the same observation about Mitch¹s rise to stardom, "It's just a matter of time." Well his time has come. The number one requested comedian on Satellite Radio, Mitch has appeared numerous times on both the "Late Show with David Letterman" and the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno". In 2006 he took home honors as "Best Comedian" at the prestigious HBO Aspen Comedy Festival and in April of 2007 his half hour stand up special debuted on Comedy Central and was ranked #6 all time by viewers. At the young age of 15, Gilbert Gottfried began doing stand-up at open mike nights in New York City and after a few short years, became known around town as "The Comedian's Comedian." After spending several years mastering the art of stand-up comedy, producers of the legendary NBC late night comedy show "Saturday Night Live" became aware of Gottfried and, in 1980, hired him as a cast member. It wasn't until a few years later when his true notoriety would begin when MTV hired him for a series of improvised and hilarious promos for the newly formed channel. This led to several television appearances on "The Cosby Show" and "Late Night with David Letterman."

Gottfried's work in television soon led to roles in film. Most notable was his improvised scene as business manager Sidney Bernstein in the hit sequel "Beverly Hills Cop II," for which the New York Daily News said, "Gilbert Gottfried steals the picture with a single scene." Aside from his glowing reputation in comedy clubs, Gottfried began to gain a reputation as the king of quirky roles in both movies and television. He appeared in such movies as "Problem Child," "Problem Child II," "Look Who's Talking II" and "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane." He was also the host of the very popular late night movie series "USA Up All Night."

After his stellar performance as the wise cracking parrot, IAGO, in the Disney classic "Aladdin," Gottfried became one of the most recognizable voiceover talents, lending his voice to several commercials, cartoons and movies, including the frustrated duck in the AFLAC Insurance commercials. Gottfried also is the voice of DIGIT in the long running PBS Series "Cyberchase," can be heard on the Comedy Central series, "The Annoying Orange", and as the voice of the horse on "Family Guy."

Gottfried appeared on the ABC reality series "Celebrity Wife Swap," swapping with Alan Thicke, numerous Comedy Central Roasts and the Comedy Central series, "The Burn with Jeff Ross." Gottfried's hilarious viral video reading of "Fifty Shades of Grey" (College Humor) received over 4 million views on YouTube. Gilbert is a frequent guest on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Howard Stern Show." In addition, has had a recurring role on "Law and Order" SVU as TARU tech Leo Gerber.

Gottfried appeared in the hit comedy documentary "The Aristocrats," with Entertainment Weekly saying that "out of the 101 comedians who appear on screen, no one is funnier - or more disgusting than Gilbert Gottfried." Gottfried, a classic movie lover, was a guest Programmer on TCM. He mock-complained to TCM host Robert Osborne that choosing only four films out of all those available was "the worst homework assignment ever!"

"Gilbert Gottfried Dirty Jokes" was released on both DVD and CD, featuring 50 non-stop minutes of Gottfried telling the funniest and filthiest jokes ever. The show was filmed live at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. Also featured on the DVD are some of the funniest bonus features ever, including wild stories, indignant ranting and celebrity impressions.

Rubber Balls and Liquor is Gilbert Gottfried's hilarious first-ever book. Part memoir, part twisted social commentary, and part scratches on the bathroom wall. With this scathingly funny book of rants and musings, Gottfried sullies an entirely new medium with his dysfunctional worldview.

As a famed comics comic, Gottfried puts aside political correctness for his live performance and fires an onslaught of jokes that know no boundaries.

STEPHEN KING ON GILBERT GOTTFRIED "More than a national treasure, he's a secret weapon. If we had had Gilbert Gottfried in World War II, Hitler would have given up in 1942."

The Winnipeg Press said it best: “Gentle as a starved wolverine and as predictable as a tipsy-hop through a minefield”. Nick Di Paolo’s honest and acerbic comedy has made him a sought after voice on stage, television and radio for years and earned him two Emmy Nominations for writing.

Di Paolo’s career took off after he appeared on “HBO’s Young Comedian Special”. He has since written and performed four standup specials and four CDs. The most recent standup effort being a one hour Showtime special entitled “Raw Nerve”.

He was a regular for the whole two year run of “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn” and became a staple on the Comedy Central roasts. Other notable television and film credits include “Louie”, “Lucky Louie”, Artie Lange’s “Beer League” a guest starring role on “The Sopranos” and “The Chris Rock Show”, where he was a writer for two seasons as well. Writing credits also include the 77th Annual Academy Awards and the MTV Music Video Awards.

For years he has been a favorite guest on radio shows including “The Howard Stern Show”, “The Opie and Anthony Show” and “The Dennis Miller Show” to name a few. He also hosted “The Nick Di Paolo Show” in New York City in 2007 and “The Nick and Artie Show” from 2011-2012.

Nick Di Paolo is probably one of the most authentic voices whether on or off stage. He’s referred to as a comic’s comic because there are no facades, no act. It’s all Nick Di Paolo, all the time.

Rachel Feinstein is a nationally touring comedian and actress who is known for her ability to morph into any ethnicity and even cross gender to skewer issues of race, class and pop culture.  Huffington Post called her “The only comedian we've seen who can go from embodying her grandmother in one breath and a predatory guy on the street in the next and be equally convincing at both.”

Rachel is filming her second Comedy Central Presents special this March and she was a finalist on season 7 of Last Comic Standing. She also co hosted Tru TV's  "Upload with Shaquille Oneal" and has been featured on Showtime's "Women Who Kill" comedy special. Other guest spots include Chelsea Lately,  Hip Hop Squares, Inside Amy Schumer, and Russell Simmons Presents. Her voice characters have been featured in Adult Swim's "Venture Brothers" and the phenomenally successful Grand Theft Auto V video game.

Special Event: Robert Kelly and Guests
Dates: 03-27-2015 - 03-28-2015

Robert Kelly has overcome many hardships in his life, all of which have made him the actor/comedian he is today. From his early days as a kid growing up in Boston, in and out of Juvenile Hall, Kelly's unique, honest take on his own life and relationships make his comedy clever, abrasive, funny, but refreshingly vulnerable.

His extensive TV comedy credits include a Comedy Central Presents, HBO's Tourgasm, and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. Kelly's acting credits also include portraying Louie CK's brother on Louie, appearing as a detective opposite Vincent D'Onofrio on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and a guest starring role on ABC's The Job with Denis Leary.

His feature credits include Ghost Town, What Doesn't Kill You, Children of Invention, Bachelor No. 2 and Good Luck Chuck. He also just finished producing and starring in his first short film, Cheat, which premiered at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival.
